Guinea's resources have become severely strained over the last decade by thousands of refugee
children fleeing wars in Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and Liberia, often without their families, UNICEF head Carol Bellamy said Tuesday.
While UNICEF has reunited many refugee children with their families, Guinea has attracted only one quarter of the funds needed to run its programs, Bellamy said (U.N. release, Nov. 4)
